Dining reservations are suppose to open up officially 6/5/19 for my trip 12/2/19 - 12/9/19. What time exactly am I suppose to be able to start reserving dining?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emily!

Thanks for dropping by with your delicious question. I love this phase of Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning, because it’s when my trip really starts to take shape and I can begin to feel a rumbly in my tumbly as I think about all the dining options that await my family when we arrive in The Most Magical (and yummy) Place on Earth.

As you know, Guests are able to make Disney dining reservations 180 days from the date of their visit, and, when staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, can make reservations for up to 10 days from their check-in date, as long as those days are included in the resort hotel reservation. When you reach Disney Dining Day, you should be able to make dining reservations online at 6:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (also known as Mickey Time), or by phone at 7:00 a.m. Mickey Time. If you’ll be booking online, make sure you’re logged in to your My Disney Experience account around 5:40 a.m., as I’ve seen dining reservations open up as early as 5:45 a.m. If you’ll be booking by phone, you’ll call (407) WDW-DINE, and a friendly Cast Member will help you make all your reservations.

I’m no Dr. Facilier, but I’m betting a bag of beignets that you’ve already successfully made those dining reservations – and I’m sending pixie dust that your process was smooth and you were able to snag some great reservations. If there were reservations you didn’t get, please remember what my friend Tiana said: dreams do come true. Keep checking, especially as you get closer to your visit date, because people do cancel all the time. My family recently visited Walt Disney World with 48 hours’ notice, and we managed to get a dinner reservation at ‘Ohana during the Happily Ever After fireworks on the same day. That was some good magic, and I hope some comes your way, too!

Emily, as you count down the days to your vacation, I highly recommend reading the Disney Parks Blog. They share the latest news about new experiences (including holiday celebrations!), treats, merchandise, and other fun stuff going on around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. I always arrive with a long list of must-tries, and those articles are fantastic for bringing a little magic to us every day. Have fun with your planning and Disney dreaming, and please come back and see us with any further questions.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
