When dining reservations open for my first day at the park, will I be able to do the other days in my reservation also? Or do I have to wake up each day to book early?

    Hi Lacey,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad to see that you are planning to make advanced dining reservations. There are so many great restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can make advanced dining reservations 180 days in advance for the length of your stay up to 10 days. Since our trips are normally six nights/seven days and we always stay on property, I make dining reservations for our entire trip on day 180. Of course, I typically go in to make a few changes as we get closer to our trip dates, but I am able to secure reservations for each day as soon as my reservation window opens. With a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stay, your reservation window actually opens on your arrival day to the resort which may not necessarily be your first day in the park. If you are not staying on property, you will need to make those dining reservations day by day once the booking window opens on day 180.

Prior to that 180th day arriving, we sit down as a family and decide which restaurants we want to experience. We also decide which parks we plan to do each day because we typically do not have Park Hopper, so I have to be sure that our dining reservations are in the same park as our Fast Pass+ selections. Of course, there are lots of restaurants that are located in the resorts or at Disney Springs, so be sure to check those as well. Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's and The Crystal Palace are reservations that I always make as soon as our reservation window opens.

Lacey, also be careful with your arrival and departure times as you make dining reservations. On our first day, we make our first dining reservation for dinner, typically no earlier than 6:00 p.m. to allow for potential travel delays!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
