Hi Kathleen,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you are considering the dining package experiences!
To get access to the reserved seating for a show with a dining reservation, be sure to book a dining package. We have done the
Rivers of Light Dining Package with Tukser House Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom and the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package with Tony's Town Square Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. At Tusker House, we had dinner and at Tony's Town Square Restaurant, we had lunch.
At our Tusker House dinner we received tickets for the Rivers of Light reserved seating area. And at lunch, we received tickets that provided access to the parade's reserved viewing area for dining package guests. Even though you will have access to the reserved viewing area, I suggest you arrive early so that you can find a good spot within that reserved area. I do have one word of caution about the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade viewing area - it takes a while for the parade to actually arrive at this location, so if you are waiting in July as we were, the heat can be brutal. Thankfully, I had an umbrella that we used for shade until the parade arrived.
Kathleen, I am sending pixie dust your way trusting that you will be able to reserve a dining package. We loved the Rivers of Light Dining Package because it saved us from having to use a Fast Pass+ selection to get good seats for the show!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs.
