Which dining plan do you think is best tables in wonderland or DDP? Also is it worth doing one at all? Thanks, Big Disney fans

Hello from one big Disney fan to another, Nancy!  I hope I can shed some light on your dining plan dilemma.  There is a big difference between the Disney Dining Plan and the Tables in Wonderland card.  Tables in Wonderland is not open to just anybody; only Florida residents, Disney Vacation Club members and annual passholders are eligible to purchase the card.  The price to purchase varies depending upon eligibility.  Generally speaking, it is only worth purchasing if you intend to spend over $500 in participating restaurants throughout the course of one year.

If you are visiting for a short trip and looking to enjoy the convenience of prepaying for your meals, then the dining plan might be a good option.  Assuming you would otherwise order the same menu items if you were paying out of pocket, a dining plan can equate to a significant savings.  In order to determine whether either is worth it for your upcoming trip, we'd need more information, such as: how many times do you intend to visit WDW over the next year?  How long will each trip be?  What are your dining preferences (counter-service, table-service, character meals) when you visit?  Answers to those questions will help us to make a recommendation as to whether you should invest in one of Disney's dining plans or discount programs.  I hope that helps!
