Can I get the dining plan with a room only reservation (no tickets)?

    Hi there, Jaynee,

Thanks for sending another great question to us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I'm a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plan and use it on almost every visit I make to Walt Disney World.  Not only it is super convenient and a fantastic value, but my family has been able to experience so many delicious dining options that we otherwise wouldn't have tried if we weren't using the Plan.

Generally, you can only purchase the Disney Dining Plan as part of a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, which also includes a room reservation and park tickets.  A 3-night stay and at least 1 day of park tickets are the standard requirement.  That means, unfortunately, that it usually can't be added to a room-only reservation.  I say "usually" because there are a couple exceptions to this rule.  Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can add the Disney Dining Plan to a room-only reservation and convert that reservation to a package.

I hope that helps with your planning, Jaynee, and wishing you a practically perfect vacation!  Please let us know if you have any other questions that we can help answer.
