We have the dining plan for our 7 night stay at Disney, & are considering exploring the Orlando area one day. Are sandwiches/"to go"items available at PO Riverside to grab for lunch & take with us so we can use our Quick service credits?

    Hi Loretta,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I trust that everyone in your household is ready for the most magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a gorgeous and relaxing resort! While there, you can visit the Riverside Mill Food Court for quick-service meals and you should be able to pick up a few items to go. Dining Plans are currently accepted. Whenever we arrive at our resort hotel and visit the food court for the first time, we always clarify with a cast member which items count as quick-service meal items and which count as snacks. We find the beverage stations so that we know where to refill our refillable mugs and we are good to go!

As you make your final plans, I suggest that you also check out a resort map online and request a building that is close to the food court area. We have discovered that being close to the food court area puts us closer to a number of other amenities as well. If you have time, also explore the grounds and walk over to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. My husband and I stayed there on our honeymoon and loved it!

Loretta, since you are planning to explore the Orlando area, I hope you have considered visiting Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex at Cape Canaveral. We have visited twice with our girls and it was amazing each time. We always leave with this incredible hope in the world - the ingenuity at the Walt Disney World Resort and in the space program is inspiring!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
