Have 2 ? Is the dining plan menus different than when paying with $? have adr at 50's Prime Time, is there a way to tell the wait staff we just want a quite meal without pressure to get involved?

There is no difference in the menus available to guests who are on the Disney Dining Plan versus guests who are paying by any other method. The same food is available to all.

As far as your question about the 50's Prime Time Cafe ...

There are a few restaurants at Disney World where guest participation is a big part of the experience, one of them happens to be the Prime Time. The premise is that we are all one big family at WDW, so the servers treat you like family. They will tell you tell you to put your napkin on your lap, say please, or get your elbows off the table -- things like that. They will even "punish" you if you don't comply. My husband was once made to stand in the corner by our server. This is all done in good fun of course. And the fun is much enhanced if you play along.

I understand that not everyone is in the mood for such shenanigans. My husband was once in a cranky mood when we were dining at the Whispering Canyon Cafe, another one of the "audience participation" restaurants. He asked the server if we could please eat our meal without too many crazy antics directed our way. I think our server considered this to be a challenge to help hubby get out of his funk. Instead of being left to a quiet meal, they brought out every trick in the book to entertain us. This was a little over-the-top, but it did actually perk hubby up and the kids had an AMAZING time that night.

On the other hand, I have seen people ask their servers for restraint at both the Prime Time Cafe and the Whispering Canyon and their wishes were adhered to. So the answer really is, it depends on your server.

I do have to say that if you're looking for a quiet meal, there are other choices at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Mama Melrose's and the Hollywood Brown Derby are much more calm. You may want to consider switching to one of those. Or better yet, try to go-with-the-flow at the 50's Prime Time. You may end up having the time of your life.
