Dining in Disney world without a dining plan? Advice/info?

    Hi Patricia,

Glad you stopped by today to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Let me give you some ideas to help you plan the best vacation.

My family loves the Disney Dining Plans since we can prepay for our meals and not have to worry about budgeting ahead of time. On some of our trips, I went as a ConventionEAR, and could not purchase a Disney Dining Plan. Still, our days did not differ much. We had a light breakfast, a nice Quick-Service lunch, and enjoyed a wonderful Table-Service dinner.

First, make sure you book any dining reservations early. You can make them up to 180 days in advance at the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page. You can always add a Disney Dining Plan to a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. However, a way to prepay for your meals is to purchase Disney Gift Cards, which you can use across the whole Resort. Some warehouse clubs like Sam’s Club or Costco even sell them at a slight discount.

One last tip: do not forget to look at all the Benefits of Staying at Disney Resort Hotels. From Extra Magic Hours to booking FastPass+ reservations 60 days out, there is no better way to discover how the Magic is Endless. Happy planning!

    Ricardo.
