Dining attire on the Fantasy cruise ship?

    Ahoy, Mark!

Looks like you're preparing for a voyage on the Disney Fantasy! Packing for a cruise can be overwhelming. Knowing the dress code ahead of time can keep you from over-packing - you'll want to save room to bring home some fun Disney Cruise Line souvenirs!

You'll find that most nights aboard a Disney Cruise are "cruise casual", which means no swimwear, tank tops, and I suggest no casual shorts. Every itinerary will have a Pirate or Tropical night, and a fun deck party to go along with the theme. On three and four-night cruises, there will be an "optional dress-up night", which is described as "jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women".

7-night cruises have four "cruise casual" nights, one themed night (Pirate or Tropical), one Formal and one Semi-Formal night. Formal/Semi-Formal nights are great opportunities to take advantage of the ship's onboard photographers! Just head to the Atrium Lobby before dinner to have photos taken of your sailing party. They'll have several fun backdrops to choose from, and sometimes even a photo shoot with Captain Mickey! On these nights, recommended dinner attire is a jacket or suit for men, and a dress or pantsuit for women.

Palo and Remy, the adult-only restaurants, have specific dress codes. For Palo, men are asked to wear pants and a dress shirt (jacket optional), and women will be in dresses/pantsuits. For Remy, more upscale attire is required: pants with jacket (sports or suit jacket, ties optional) for men, and women are required to wear a dress, cocktail dress, pantsuit or skirt/blouse. They ask no jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip-flops or tennis shoes be worn to Palo or Remy.

I hope this helps! I hope you have a wonderful vacation, and your packing is a breeze! - Diane W.
