Cinderella Royal Table

When we dine at a restaurant as part of our dining plan (Chef Mickey's for example), is the tip included in the plan or do we tip? If so, what form of payments are accepted for tipping?

So nice to see you here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shannon!

I love being able to prepay my meals at Walt Disney World Resort with the Disney Dining Plan! Sometimes, it is even offered FREE as part of a Special Offer- how great is that!? At this time, gratuities are not included as part of the Disney Dining Plan for Table Service meals other than certain meals where the tip is automatically included on your bill such as Dinner Shows (Spirit of Aloha, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Mickey's Backyard BBQ and Cinderella’s Royal Table. When you are presented your bill, you will see a line available for adding a gratuity. You can either leave a cash gratuity, use your MagicBand to charge your Disney Resort hotel room, or present a credit card. If leaving a cash tip, make sure that your server is aware and does not charge your MagicBand for the gratuity, in which case you would pay it twice! Another important thing to know is that you are a group of 6 or more, your bill will automatically include an 18% gratuity, of course, you can always leave an extra amount for great service!

Since I mentioned Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, I want to point out that this is my family’s favorite Dinner Show. I will always remember when the performers sang about our dessert, which was delicious strawberry shortcake, and my then 3-year-old daughter that that the Disney Character Strawberry Shortcake was coming out! Boy, was she disappointed when she got dessert instead of one of her favorite Disney Characters! Once she had a few bites, she quickly forgot her woes!

I hope you have a wonderful vacation and bon appetit!
