What are the differences between the Polynesian Village Resort and the Polynesian Villas for those who are not staying through the DVC but just booking through the regular resort process?

Hi Ronda!  The Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World is probably the most popular resort on property. Feeling like you have just appeared in an island world the minute you walk into the lobby is definitely magical.

Guests are allowed to book a DVC property for their vacation. The availability will depend if the DVC members have already booked it completely. Each DVC property is a bit different with many having full kitchens and separate bedroom areas. Many will also include washer and dryers. These properties will be at deluxe resort rates.

The Polynesian DVC rooms include studios and the new bungalows. These are located in separate buildings and both DVC and regular rooms can enjoy all the amenities of this gorgeous property. The Studios have a queen bed, a pull out sofa, and a pull down single bed. They have two bathrooms with a toilet and bathtub in one and a shower and sink in the other. The bathrooms are the largest I have seen in any property and you could actually stick a crib or a rollaway in theme easily if you had to. The closet is small and there really is not much storage. You will have a small frig, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker.

Check out the prices for both options. I personally am not a huge fan of the Polynesian studios but it does give guests another option to being able to stay at the resort if the regular rooms are booked.
