What is the difference between a Value room and a Studio at Animal Kingdom Lodge?

    Hi James,

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has two different types of resorts.  There is the traditional hotel-style resort, which is called Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  There are also Disney Vacation Club properties.  These are referred to as Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village.  The Villas at Jambo House are located in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.  The Villas at Kidani Village are a separate set of buildings located next to Jambo House.

My guess is that you are looking at the Villas.  A Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Studio is essentially a large hotel room.  They typically can sleep four guests, and are a little larger than a typical hotel room.  They generally include a kitchenette, and the second bed is often a pull-out couch.  When you see "Value" at the Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, it refers to the size of the room.  So it is possible to have a "Value Studio" - this would be a studio room which is a little smaller in size than a typical Deluxe Studio.

It is possible to book Disney Vacation Club accommodations even if you are not a Disney Vacation Club member, based on availability.  You can do so by calling 407 W-DISNEY (407-934-7639).  I do suggest that you call a cast member at this number to discuss the types of rooms at Disney's Animal Kingdom resorts - as you can see, there are many options!

I hope that this information helps, James.  Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
