What is the difference between table service and quick service restaurants? Is a quick service more like a McDonald's and a table service more like an Applebee's? Trying to choose dining plan for family w/2 almost 3 yr old.

Jennifer your description of restaurant options is wonderful.

At Walt Disney World a quick service restaurant is one where you order at a counter and take your food to a table. A sit down place where a server takes your order is a table service restaurant. You may walk into a quick service one but advance reservations are needed for table service eateries. Table service restaurants include signature, top notch chef run establishments, character dining experiences, Epcot's world cuisine offerings, and unique restaurants such as Disney's Hollywood Studios' 50's Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater.

On the Disney Dining Plan you will have plenty of options, much delicious food and save some money. Toddlers may eat off your plate or you may order a kids meal and pay out of pocket since dining plans are not available for children under three.

Please contact me if you would like restaurant recommendations or any advice. I would love to help you create a magical experience for your family.
