What is the difference between standard and preferred rooms? Can you get dinning plan with tickets but no room?

    Hey Donna-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Standard and preferred rooms are identical with the exception of one key ingredient. Location. Preferred rooms place you closer to the action so you don’t spend as much time walking the resort. For example, the preferred rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, where we have made our home many times, are located near the pool, Classic Hall (lobby building) and the bus stop. All resorts with Preferred Rooms follow this pattern.

A Disney Dining Plan may only be added to Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Each member of your party must be on the plan and the number of entitlements is based on the number of nights you stay at the Resort hotel. Being on property allows you to immerse yourself in more pixie dust. With excellent themed hotels, restaurant and activities, on-property Guests get the Disney experience their entire trip.

Disney Dad Tip: If you are looking for quite, then choose a standard room and make that request during online check-in or by calling a Cast Member at 407-WDISNEY (407-934-7639).

Donna, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
