What is the difference in rooms, they seem to have the same descriptions..between standard and preferred. I am so confused..we need 3 rooms for sure, 3 kids and 7 adults, either CBR or which moderate? help..

    Hi Jone,

On the inside, there is no significant difference between standard and preferred rooms at many of the value and moderate resorts.  What makes them preferred is their distance from the resort's main amenities.  For instance, at Disney's Pop Century Resort, preferred rooms are within 500 feet of the main lobby, food court, and bus strip.  The standard rooms have the same amenities.  They are simply a further walk from the resort center.

As for the second part of your question, you can't go wrong choosing any of Disney's moderate resorts.  If you like pool slides and Mexican food, then Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a great choice.  If you're looking for more of a tropical, beach decor and the possibility of staying in a pirate-themed room, then choose Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  If proximity to Downtown Disney is appealing, then Disney's Port Orleans resort is a superb option.

Let us know if you have any additional questions about planning your magical Disney vacation.  We'd be happy to help.
