what is the difference between regular season, peak season and value season?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Salvatore! Visiting Walt Disney World just got easier to plan with the new online vacation planning portal! I’m buying tickets for my kids and my Mom for a little multi-generational trip next year!

While there used to be a few seasons like “value, regular and peak,” I think you’ll find that Walt Disney World Resort has evened out a bit and nearly every day is full of guests bustling about. You can purchase date-based tickets, which will vary in price even during a two week period. This ought to help you purchase based on your ideal season to visit as well as your budget. Another tool I recommend (and use myself a lot) is the Undercover Tourist Crowd Calendar (you can google that term). It will show you a gridded calendar, and based on any given day, show you a number on a scale of 1-10 of an expected crowd level. It will even show you Parks to steer clear of and Parks that are green for go! I use this tool each time we visit so I know what to expect.

If I can help you find your way around one of the Parks (Magic Kingdom is my specialty), please let me know. There are hidden treasures everywhere to be found! You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
