What is the difference between the regular dining plan and the Deluxe? We are traveling with my parents and my 4 yr old and 1 yr old. Thank you!

    Hi Stephanie,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Park Moms Panel with your question!

The difference in the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is in the amount and type of dining credits that you receive per day, and in the price of the plan. There are links to great brochures about all of the Disney Dining Plans online - simply click on the link and then look at "Related Resources" on the right and chose the plan you want to explore.

The Disney Dining Plan includes one quick-service meal, one snack, and one table-service meal per day of your stay. The Disney Deluxe Dining Plan includes three meals and two snacks per day. On the Deluxe Dining Plan, there is no difference between a quick-service meal and a table-service meal, so you can eat three table-service meals per day, three quick-service meals per day, or any combination. Both the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan include one refillable mug per person in your party, which can be used for free refills at your Walt Disney World Resort for the length of you stay.

There is of course a price difference between the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. For an idea of the breakdown of pricing, you can visit wdwinfo.com. Click on the "Dining" tab and then go to "Disney Dining Plan" on the drop down menu. This has a good explanation of the types of dining plans as well as information on pricing.

A bonus for you family is that you will not need to purchase a dining plan for your 1-year old. Any child under 3 years old is Mickey's Guest - so your toddler can eat off of your plate!

I hope that this information helps with you planning, Stephanie. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
