What is the difference between photopass and photopass+

    Hello Clint,

Thank you for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you're having a Dapper Day!

I’m so glad you asked about this. Disney PhotoPass is a free service for all Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort to use. In fact, right when you enter either park you will see a Disney PhotoPass Photographer standing with a camera as this is such an iconic scene. The Disney PhotoPass Photographer will hand you the free PhotoPass card and take your family photo. That photo will be stored on this card. Throughout the day, whenever you see one of these Disney PhotoPass Photographers, simply hand them this card, they will scan it and your park pictures will be stored there. Then at the end of your vacation, you can visit Main Street Photo Supply at Disneyland Park or Kingswell Camera Shop, located on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park and purchase any or all of your favorite photos! You can also purchase them online; photos expire 30 days after the date they were taken. (Photo prints start at $14.95)

With Disney PhotoPass+, you can purchase this option in advance of your vacation but must be ordered at least 14 days before so your package arrives in time. The Disney PhotoPass+ Pre-Arrival Package is $69.95 compared to $99.95 if you purchase it at the park. With Disney PhotoPass+, you get to utilize all the Disney PhotoPass Photographers plus Magic Shot photos, Photos from select attractions and dining locations, the ability to customize your photos, the Photo CD (containing every photo taken by Disney PhotoPass Photographers on your PhotoPass), plus more. My family loves taking advantage of this package; it “so totally rocks, Dude!”

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.
