Is there a difference between after hours and extra magic hours? Days, times? Free for Disney resort guests?

    Hey Robin!
Disney After Hours and Extra Magic Hours are different and here's how.

    Disney After Hours
is an additional charge for all guests for those staying on or off Walt Disney World property and is offered at the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. This exclusive event is only offered a few times per year, which is different from Extra Magic Hours. Be sure to check the website for dates, times and prices as they may change. Guests with a ticket to this event can enter the park as early as 7pm on the nights of the event, but the After Hours extravaganza doesn't officially begin until 8pm, 9pm, or 10pm depending on the date. Robin, if you decide to attend this event, just know that crowds will be low, as there are a limited number of tickets offered! Which means more magic for you and your family to experience many of the attractions that you may not have been able to get a FastPass+ for.

Extra Magic Hours is a complimentary benefit for guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World resort. If you're staying off property, you won't be able to take advantage of this. Extra Magic Hours are offered more often than the Disney After Hours. Extra Magic Hours times can either be in the morning or at night and usually is offered at a different theme park each day. You'll need to check out the Disney website, park hours link, to know when Extra Magic Hours are offered. My family enjoys the morning Extra Magic Hours since we are early risers and the crowds don't usually begin until a couple of hours after the park is open.

Robin, hopefully this gives you a better idea about these two offerings. If you have more questions, please stop by and visit with us again soon!
