What's the difference between the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin and Toy Story Mania? Is it worth it to go to both? Thanks!

    Hello, Charlene,

Thank you for sending such a great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin at the Magic Kingdom gives guests the chance to ride in a star cruiser that they control by moving around to the left, right, and even backwards.  When moving around, guests aim their space cannon at an assortment of Z targets to help keep Evil Emperor Zurg in check.  The focus is very much on Buzz Lightyear with few other references to the Toy Story movies.

In comparison, Toy Story Mania! at Disney's Hollywood Studios embraces the experience of guests actually becoming one of Andy's toys, so you'll see everyday objects as if they have become much larger.  As a toy, guests get to go through a shootin' gallery in Andy's room wearing 3D glasses.  The ride vehicle goes through 5 scenes inspired from the Toy Story movies where the screens interact with guests and may even surprise you now and then if you hit the right secret targets. I don't want to give away too much of the attraction, but it is amazingly fun!

While the basic premise of both attractions seems similar, they are truly quite different in their overall experience.  I HIGHLY recommend both.  Also, I recommend getting FastPasses for both of these attractions as they are very popular.
