Our departure flight is 7:45 at MCO and we are only bring carry on bags. We have a breakfast reservation at grand Floridian cafe at 9:30 and want to enjoy MK before our flight. How should I map out the days and transportation times to make our flight?

Hi there, Nichole! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and ask your Walt Disney World Resort question!

It sounds like you are in for a full day of fun on your departure day! If you and your family are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can always leave your additional bags with Bell Services until it is actually time for you to leave. This is an incredibly convenient service on your departure day since it allows you to explore the parks without having to worry about your bags!

If you will be utilizing Disney’s Magical Express to get from your Disney Resort hotel to Orlando International Airport, your motor coach will be picking you up approximately three hours prior to the time your flight departs. So you will want to make sure that you arrive back at your Disney Resort hotel prior to this time!

Since you will be dining at Grand Floridian Cafe, you can easily take Monorail transportation over to the Magic Kingdom after your meal. This should allow you to enjoy at least a few hours at Magic Kingdom before you need to be back at your Disney Resort hotel. I always like to allow at least an hour to return to my Disney Resort hotel regardless of its location on my departure day. This way, I’m less like to miss my flight back home!

Have fun continuing to plan for your magical vacation! Be sure to let us know if we can help you with planning any other part of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
