Hi! On our depart day we would like check in our luggage for AA at the resort, go to the park for the day and get a taxi from the park directly to the airport. If we do this, but don't use Magical Express ourselves, will our luggage get to MCO?

Hey, Ashley! I am sending you a virtual high five right now, as you have actually stumbled upon the super genius way of exiting The Most Magical Place on Earth! Heading back to the theme parks on your last day is a great way to soak up every bit of magic and maybe even experience some of your favorite attractions again.

Disney's Magical Express is such a convenient service provided to guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Not only can they give you a lift to your resort, they can also deliver your luggage to your resort room as long as you affix those handy yellow tags to each bag. However, you do not have to hop aboard Disney's Magical Express for you return trip to the airport. You are welcome to check your luggage with the Resort Airline Check-In Service at your resort and then utilize any means of making your way to MCO later that day. On numerous occasions, I have checked our luggage at our resort, headed to Magic Kingdom Park for one last cruise through the jungle and Dole Whip Float, and then headed to one of the Magic Kingdom-area resorts to call a ridesharing service or taxi.

If you have any carryon luggage, you can store those with Bell Services that last morning. Just remember to stop back by and pick those up before heading to MCO! If you really do not want to go back by your resort, there are lockers at each theme park that are a perfect for holding carryon items.

Thanks for stopping by with this question and please let us know if we assist you again as you continue to plan your trip!
