We have the deluxe dining plan, our twins will be turning 2 while we are there so will eat off of our plates. When making dinner reservations do we include them in the number? Also, one has a dairy allergy, do we say an adult does?

    Hi Megan,

I must commend you on choosing the Deluxe Dining Plan, as you'll be eating like Disney Royalty! Yes, you will include all guests dining with you, including your smallest prince or princess at the table.

If booking Advanced Dining Reservations online, the site will allow you to add each guest by age, and subsequently will provide an option to "Add a Special Request." You will then be able to notate your dietary request or allergen on the following screen, ensuring your reservation is documented with the appropriate information.

You can also book your reservations along with your special diet requests by calling (407) WDW-DINE, (407) 939-3463.

I always recommend taking it a step further and contacting Special Diets directly at specialdiets@disneyworld.com at least 14 days prior to your arrival. In the past, they've requested I complete a form listing my allergy along with my Advanced Dining Reservation confirmation numbers. Given the severity of some allergies, this extra step will ensure the chef is aware of your needs. Please also mention the allergy when checking in at the podium of your dining location, and a chef will personally visit your table to address any concerns or discuss alternative menu options.

The commitment of the Walt Disney World culinary staff to provide guest accommodations with food intolerance or allergies is unparalleled.

I wish you a MAGICAL vacation, Megan, and feel free to ask us anything coming to mind.
