    Kelsey from NV Asked

I have the deluxe annual pass with Max Pass that is blocked for Disneyland and not California Adventure. When I buy a ticket for Disneyland will I also have to add max pass to the ticket?

    Hiya, Kelsey!

It seems we are in a similar situation as you. Our family also has Disney Deluxe Passports. We appreciate the balance of access to the parks and value available in these Annual Passports. Of course, as you noted, there are some times when it would be nice to visit Disneyland Park when the blockout calendar indicates only Disney California Adventure Park is not blocked. In those cases, a separate ticket can be used to access the park that is blocked. Because Disney MaxPass is linked with a particular admission passport, if you would like to use it to get Disney FASTPASS return times for attractions and entertainment such as Fantasmic!, you will need to purchase MaxPass for the separate ticket. However, you may still find that you may use your Annual Passport with MaxPass added to utilize your Disney PhotoPass privileges. Note that it may be necessary to first use your Annual Passport to enter the park that is not blocked.

For days when only Disney California Adventure is available with your Annual Passport, you’ll find there is still much to enjoy this Summer. For a limited time this June, the classic Soarin’ Over California returns for an amazing tour over the Golden State. "Tale of The Lion King" brings the story of Simba and his friends in a memorable new show at Palisades Stage on the shores of Paradise Bay. And I can’t wait to share new experiences with my family such as the recently-opened Mickey’s PhilharMagic and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, opening soon.

    Have a magical time, Kelsey!
