We decided on a last minute trip to Orlando for August 10-16, and I'm so excited! I'm now stressing out because there are so many things to do. Can you suggest a Wednesday-Sunday itinerary? My daughters (17yrs and 11 months) will be with me.

    Hi Tina,

How wonderful that you were able to book a vacation for this summer at Walt Disney World! The good news is that you still have over two months to plan for this magical vacation.

I am not sure if you booked a package or a room-only reservation for your trip, so I do not know if you already have your Walt Disney World theme park tickets. If you do not yet have tickets, the first thing that I think that you should do now is purchase these. You will need to decide how many days of tickets you need. Consider if you want to spend each of your five days in Disney theme parks, or if you want to take a day or two to explore Walt Disney World outside of the theme parks.

Also consider if you want to visit each of Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. I recommend that everyone visit Magic Kingdom as it is the iconic theme park that most people think of when they think of Walt Disney World. In order to decide which other theme parks you want to visit, order the Walt Disney World planning DVD. This is available free of charge and will introduce you to each theme park.

Finally, take a look at the Walt Disney World park hours for the days that you are visiting. You might find that certain days, the hours work better for you at certain theme parks. Also on this page you can see which theme park is offering Extra Magic Hours on each day, which you can take advantage of if you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel.

I would love to help you plan your vacation more Tina; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
