Hi! How to decide if the Military discount or the Free Dining (if/when offered) is a better deal for fall trip? We would be 2 adults, 2 children (5,3). We've stayed at Shades of Green, LOVE IT! But free dining isn't an option with a stay there.

    Hi Amy!

Thanks for allowing me to answer your question, and boy is it a good one. I have to admit, the best way to figure out if the special offer for military is a better deal than the Free Dining offers is to price every single thing out. Since you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation for October, I suggest going on the Walt Disney World website, plugging in your dates and resort preference, and seeing what total comes up. I personally love when Free Dining is offered to Guests, and more times than not, our family has saved more by staying at a moderate resort with Free Dining (and all of the other Resort amenities, like 60 day FastPass + selections). Also, keep in mind if dining really is important when it comes to your vacation. Will your 5 and 3 year old eat enough to enjoy the Free Dining? While Table Service is amazing, will they enjoy it as much as you do? If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then the Free Dining offer would be perfect for your family.

If you have any follow up questions, Amy, feel free to ask me anytime. I'm always here to help.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
