Hello! This December my family and I are going to Disneyland to celebrate my daughters 1st birthday. Are there any freebies and/or special things that the park offers for birthdays? I know she is still young but I want to have great memories and pictures.

Hi, Rita! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

So many precious memories are in store for you and your family when you celebrate your daughter's first birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth! When you first enter Disneyland Park, stop by City Hall to pick up a complementary birthday button. Your daughter might be a bit too young to actually wear it, but it's a fun, free souvenir to pick up. Another neat thing would be to make or buy an autograph book that has places to insert pictures. You can take your daughter around the parks meeting all sorts of characters and they can sign the book. She can then look back on that book and pictures for years to come.

You might also want to make a reservation for lunch or dinner and perhaps even experience a character meal. You can order a custom birthday cake to be delivered to your table by calling (714) 781-3463 at least three days in advance. You could even order a separate "smash" cake for your daughter to devour on her special day.

Finally, to capture all these amazing memories, consider purchasing Disney MaxPass to receive downloads of all the PhotoPass photos taken that day, or if your trip is longer, look into purchasing PhotoPass+ One Week. PhotoPass photographers are stationed all over the parks and at certain character meals to capture special moments. You will treasure these high-quality photos with characters and in the most iconic places in the parks.

Happy birthday to your little Mouseketeer! Have a wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort!
