we are going dec 1-5 and noticed that there is a football and cheerleading competition at the wide world of sports...will this impact the amount of people in the parks?

    Hi Annette,

I have been to Walt Disney World several times while these completions have been going on. In my experience, the football players and cheerleaders are largely occupied with their planned events, they have relatively little time to spend in the parks. I've also checked the Crowd Calendar for you. The dates you've selected are a very low crowd time at WDW, and this takes the influx of sports competitors int account.

The only impact these events might have on your trip are if you're staying at the All Star hotels. I've found that most of the football teams and cheerleaders stay there and they can sometimes be a large presence in the food court.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
