Sunset at Disney's Animal Kingdom

On Dec. 30, if we are lucky to book Rivers of Light dine pkg. w/ tusker breakfast, I'd like to do Yak and Yeti for dinner. If we have 7:00 reserved at Yak and Yeti, is that enough time to then to get to show? Both are new dining exp. for us.

Hello Amy! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You have chosen 2 fantastic dining options for your day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. To cap off such wonderful meals with the Rivers of Light Nighttime Experience sounds like a recipe for Endless Magic.

As it stands, Walt Disney World Resort is listing performances for Rivers of Light up until October 31st, 2017. Any information I provide is speculative as performance showtimes and offerings are subject to change without notice.

Up until August 19th, 2017, Rivers of Light offers showtimes for 9:15pm and 10:30pm, which would provide ample time for anyone dining at Yak & Yeti Restaurant with an Advanced Dining Reservations for 7:00pm.

From August 20th until 20th until September 16th, Rivers of Light offers 1 showtime for 8:45 pm, which would still provide enough time for a comfortable dining experience before the show.

From September 17th until October 31st, the 1 showtime per night goes from beginning at 8:15pm down to 7:30pm which would not give you an adequate amount of time for both your dining experience and Rivers of Light.

The trend is showing that as the nights get shorter, the shows start earlier. For December 30th, Rivers of Light will probably have an early showtime unless additional showtimes are added to accommodate the increased park attendance for the holidays.

I recommend that you continue to check My Disney Experience as you get closer to your visit for more accurate information and showtimes.

    Best of Luck!
