We are debating between staying in a cabin at fort wilderness or a suite at All Star Music with our 2 year old. The price difference is approximately $200.00. Is it worth the extra money to stay in the cabins? What are the benefits? Thank you!!

While I venture to guess that you'll never get a consensus, I would say that yes, the extra expenditure to stay in a cabin would be worth it.  Here's why:

    - a stay at the cabins puts you in super close proximity to the Magic Kingdom as well as many of Disney's most popular restaurants.

    - the extensive recreation opportunities available at Fort Wilderness provide a plethora of down-time options.

    - the atmosphere of Fort Wilderness is one unlike any other Walt Disney World resort.  I think it beats that of the All Star Music hands down.

    - while the family suite offers a kitchenette with minimal appliances, the cabins feature full kitchens with complete cooking capabilities.

    - the cabins also feature private patios complete with barbecue grills.

My family loved every minute of our stay at the Fort Wilderness cabins last October.  And while the family suites are a great option for many people, my first choice would always be the cabins - especially for such a minimal price difference.  Hope that helps.
