Debating between pop and french quarter port orleans....Is it worth the extra money for french quarter? Going in October with two boys ages 6 and 12. Thanks!!

    Hi Sarah!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

If I had to choose between Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, I would choose the latter if it was within my budget.

However, both Resorts have many features to enjoy and I am sure your two boys would have a great time at either one.

Pop Century represents the second half of the twentieth century with it's brightly coloured, larger than life icons - toys, fads, dance crazes from the 1950s through the 1990s.  There is a food court, three pools (you can use all of these) and a bus service to the theme parks.  This resort does not share a bus service with any other resorts.

Port Orleans French Quarter is in a lovely setting, with larger guest rooms, a wider choice of dining, several pools to choose from, and bus transportation.  There is also a very nice boat-ride to Downtown Disney.  I do think it is worth spending the extra money for more space, more facilities and very nice surroundings.

If you have any other questions that would help you make your decision, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
