Dear Wonderfull Disney, I'll be visting you very soon. I would like to know what kind of activities or methods you use to keep the childern entertained during a waiting line or queue? Thank u!

    Hello, Nadine!

You have asked an excellent question. I must admit that I struggle with long waits. In fact, my little Mouseketeer is usually more patient than I am! To help us both, I have a few strategies to help focus our attention and have fun while we wait in a queue or for a parade.

    1. FastPass+ is a complementary service included in your theme park admission that allows you to reserve three experiences per day in one park. You arrive at the time you schedule and have little to no wait before experiencing the attraction.

    2. The early bird gets the worm! We like to be at the theme park as soon as it opens. Crowds tend to be smaller and, lines are usually the shortest of the day.

    3. Look for Hidden Mickeys! ImaginEARs have hidden images of Mickey Mouse all over Walt Disney World Resort. My little Mouseketeer often spots them before I do!

    4. Get some learning in with park maps and My Disney Experience mobile app. Not only do we find two ways to get to the next destination, but we can also work on time skills by finding attraction wait times in the app.

    5. Play a game. A good old-fashioned game or Rock, Paper, Scissors or Disney trivia work well. You might be surprised at how much Disney knowledge your little ones have!

    6. Keep some comfort items in your park bag. We keep dry cereal, granola bars, goldfish crackers, or fruit snacks in our bag, as well as a favorite toy. Things like glow sticks and necklaces make fun little surprises, too!

I hope these strategies help, Nadine! Please visit us again should other questions arise about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Happy Planning!
