Dear Mom, We are headed to WDW Nov 27 - Dec 1, 2016. If we will likely not attend Mickey Xmas Party (cuz little ones too little to stay up late), but may be interested in Epcot Candlelight Procession, what days are best to see MK and Epcot? Thank you.

    Hi Majida,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. What a wonderful time of year to visit Walt Disney World! I am glad that you are planning and considering the possibilities for winter holiday activities at this time of year.

I completely understand about your little ones not being able to stay up late. When my daughter was younger, I knew that she would be very cranky if I kept her up too late! During your travel dates, there are Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties scheduled on November 27, 29, and December 1. Since you will not be attending the party, you might want to avoid Magic Kingdom on those nights as it will close for day guests at 7:00 p.m. on those nights. Therefore, I would suggest November 28 or 30 for your visit to Magic Kingdom as you would be able to stay past 7:00 p.m. if your little ones can stay up for a little past that time. Also on the nights without the party you would not need to worry about crowds arriving for the party.

The Candlelight Processional at Epcot is a beautiful event, with a retelling of the Christmas story by celebrity narrators accompanied by a choir. There are typically three showings a night, with shows at 5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. in the past. One of the earlier shows would likely be great for your schedule. Narrators and schedule for this year's Candlelight Processional are not yet announced. I suggest that you monitor the Disney Parks Blog for announcements on this. Once it is announced, you can choose the narrator whom you are the most interested in seeing. You could choose any night, as long as you save November 28 or November 30 for your Magic Kingdom visit.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Majida!
