Dear Disney Park Mom, We are visiting Disney World in April 2017. My son has a bladder malformation and needs to catheterize himself every few hours. Is there a special needs pass for the park lines so that we don't miss a catheterization?

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nancy!

What a fun trip you must be planning for April in Walt Disney World! That is a fabulous time of year to visit, too: it's one of my favorites!

When guests with special needs visit WDW, I suggest that they head directly to Guest Relations at the first park or Disney Springs, and discuss their options with a Cast Member. Because your son may need to avoid standing in lines for extended periods of time as that might interfere with his schedule, you may want to look into a Disney Parks Disability Access Service Card (DAS Card). When traveling with my students who may have special needs, Cast Members at Guest Services have been so helpful, not only in explaining our navigation of the parks with a DAS Card, but also offering additional information based on our particular needs during that visit.

As you tour Walt Disney World in the spring, be sure to leave enough time for a leisurely visit to Epcot, too, which will be bursting with even more colors, sights and sounds than at any other time of year: Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is simply stunning!. You're going to want to linger a little longer after catching your first glimpse of this spectacular event!

Send more questions as you think of them, Nancy; we love to help guests plan!
