Is there a deadline to add the DDP to a reservation? Still debating if it's a good option for us or not.

    Hi Julie,

This is a great question and it really depends on how your family tends to eat on vacation. Typically the Disney Dining Plan must be added to your resort reservation prior to 48 hours in advance of your arrival. I would first call 407-W-DISNEY to determine if your reservation is eligible, then take a look at the cost analysis. Depending on which plan you prefer, I would encourage you to check out the site You can browse typical menu prices and compare to how your family would order.

When my children were small, it did make sense for us. We like to dine out each night of our vacation and the children's dining plan prices turned out to be a value when you considered character meals or all-you-care-to-eat location prices.

Let me know what other questions you have about the plan. I'm happy to answer specifics to help you determine if the plan would work for your family!
