Is there a way to deactivate the credit card on file for our reservation for our children's magic bands?

    Hi Lyndsay,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I often say how much I appreciate both the convenience and the cool factor of the MagicBand. It simply makes a Walt Disney World vacation just a bit easier in so many ways — letting me unlock my hotel room door, letting me tap a touchpoint for theme park admission and FastPass+ access, and letting me charge dining and merchandise purchases to my Resort hotel account.

While I wouldn't describe the MagicBand purchasing safety features as deactivating your credit card on file, you do have the option to determine which MagicBands in your group are authorized to make purchases that will be charged to your Resort hotel account. So, if you choose, you can simply ensure that your children's MagicBands are not authorized for making purchases. In addition, you will need to set up a number code that is required to validate any purchase transactions. You can check with your Resort hotel Front Desk and make sure these settings are in place as you would like.

I'll also share that the My Disney Experience mobile app lets you see your Resort hotel charges during your stay.

Lyndsay, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World stay.

    Enjoy your Disney!
