How does DDP work at California Grill? Is it still entree and dessert? Can you get sushi or is it extra? First time dining there.

    Hey Megen-

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. What do you get when you combine the best cuisine and the best restaurant view of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks showcase? Yep … the California Grill. It is a perfect view of the Magic Kingdom Park with top shelf cuisine that is a roller coaster of flavors for your palate.

Depending on the Disney Dining Plan you choose you will either use one meal entitlement or 2 meal entitlements because the California Grill is a Signature Restaurant. Disney Premium and Platinum Dining Plans require one credit while the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan require two credit.

When you use your dining credits you will receive one appetizer, one entree, one dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. If at the time of your dining experience sushi is on the appetizer menu then you should be able to order it.

If you are dining during the day and want to see the fireworks at night, bring your receipt from your earlier meal back to the restaurant and take a standing position by a window or outside along the terrace. They pipe the music in from the Magic Kingdom Park so you can listen and watch the fireworks showcase. We did this last September and saw HalloWishes Nighttime Spectacular and it was absolutely perfect. Bon appetit!

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
