Family grabbing snacks from cart

We have the DDP for two families- total of 8 people. We each have two DME accounts that are linked. We made the ADRs in my family's account so we could sit together. How are each family's meal/snack entitlements kept separate while on vacation?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amber. Are you super excited for your upcoming vacation? You are going to have the very best time at the Walt Disney World Resort with your friends and family!

I'm so glad to hear you have the Disney Dining Plan for your visit; it's just one of the many benefits of staying at a Disney Resort hotel. My family always adds the Disney Dining Plan to our vacation package because we love its value and flexibility. Did I mention it's convenient too? We once traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort with three other families, and we all used the Disney Dining Plan during our shared dining reservations. Making sure everyone's entitlements were properly deducted from each family's dining plan was not a problem at all! When your server approaches your table at a Table-Service restaurant, you'll be asked right away if you're using a dining plan. The server will ask how many dining plans are being used among the table and then scan one person's MagicBand from each family for accurate billing. At Quick-Service dining locations or snack carts, simply place your orders as two separate parties.

Be sure to keep track of your dining plan entitlements during your stay. You can view remaining entitlements on the My Disney Experience mobile app. They're usually printed at the bottom of your receipts too. If you see any discrepancies, visit the Concierge at your Resort hotel. They'll be happy to help you sort it all out!

I hope this was helpful, Amber. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
