Hi moms! My DH, DD (9,6,4) and I are traveling to WDW 10/15-10/23. I have a ? about dress codes for dining. We have res at Cali grill, Brown Derby, Coral Reef& La Cellier (among others). What do people typically wear at these locations? Thanks!

Hi! You're planning my kind of trip -- I love dining at the finer restaurants at Walt Disney World! Of the four restaurants you mentioned, only the California Grill has a dress code. At the California Grill and other signature restaurants located outside the theme parks, men are advised to wear khakis, slacks, jeans, dress shorts, or collared shirts, and ladies should wear capris, skirts, dresses, jeans, or dress shorts. T-shirts are permitted as long as they do not have offensive graphics, but tank tops, swimsuits, cut offs, and torn clothing are not allowed.

The Hollywood Brown Derby, Coral Reef, and Le Cellier are all located inside the Disney parks, and for this reason, they do not have a dress code. Most guests dining at these restaurants will be wearing their theme park attire.  Of course, you're welcome to dress up to dine at these restaurants if you wish. Generally if I have a meal scheduled at one of the fancier restaurants in the parks, I make sure to wear a nicer shorts outfit that is still comfortable for walking around in the park that day.

Hope this helps! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
