My dd has severe pediatric bunions. Doctor said she will need surgery but waiting for growth plates to close. In the meantime she wears orthotics and manage pain with meds. Standing/walking on concrete takes a toll. Are disability services avail. for her?

    Welcome back, Gretchen!

I hate to hear that your Mouseketeer needs surgery. It sounds like a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is just what is needed to lift spirits.

The Disability Assistance Service (DAS) provides Guests who are unable to wait in a traditional queue an alternate queue experience. Guests are welcome to wait in a quiet area, experience another attraction, have a snack or do a little shopping. When it is time to return to the attraction, Guests will enter the FastPass queue with little wait. You can request this service by visiting any theme park Guest Relations Lobby, where a Cast Member can make recommendations based on your daughter's specific situation.

You might consider renting a wheelchair for your daughter. Wheelchair Rentals are located inside each theme park and at Disney Springs. Rentals are on a first come, first-served basis and must remain inside the area where they are rented. You can choose a daily rental option or purchase a Length of Stay rental ticket, which saves you a few dollars each day. Keep mind that there is a limited supply and only adult wheelchairs are available, so I suggest arriving early to secure a wheelchair for your Mouseketeer.

I hope this helps, and you have a magical visit! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Wishing you many magical memories!
