I want to take my DD for her fifth birthday to Disney. I am between the Polynesian and the WL. Which do you think she would enjoy the most? Price is not a deciding factor. Love the Panel!

    Hi Katy!

First off, let me say that this is a TOUGH question! These are two great resorts - for kids and adults alike!

Both resorts have such wonderful theming and the details that make Disney Famous! Both have a great location as well.

So, for this one, I'll have to present you with all the great points of both resorts, and leave it up to you. BUT - at least you can't make a wrong decision, its just not possible!

If your daughter likes water and the outdoors, the Polynesian pool and beach facilities will keep her entertained for hours. We've even had to tear our children away from the Volcano pool & slide in order to head to the parks! The Polynesian is also home to some great dining options: Kona Cafe and character dining with Lilo & Stitch at Ohana. And, last, but not least, the Polynesian has transportation via the Monorail - and that's hard to top!

BUT, don't rule out the Wilderness Lodge yet! While the pool area is slightly more subdued, my kids also love the slide, and the area of the pool where a stream (which starts in the lobby) runs into it. Many times, ducks can be seen hanging out in the stream, and the kids can even participate in Rubber Duck races! The lodge is also home to Whispering Canyon, which is a fun, lively dining experience for all ages! Boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom is quick. Ft. Wilderness (home of the Hoop Dee Doo dinner show and pony rides) is just a walk, or boat ride away.

I'll also mention, just in case its a deciding factor for you, that the Wilderness Lodge does have a Hot Tub, while the Polynesian does not. Depending on the time of year you'll be visiting, this may or may not be important to you.

I hope this helps you decide - and just remember, you can always choose to stay at one of these resorts the next time you visit WDW!
