My DH, DD(9) and DD (3) are planning a trip Feb. My DD(3) hardly eats her own meal. We normally get the dining plan. Can I leave her off the room reservation, buy a separate ticket and avoid getting the dining plan for her?

Hi, Deborah!   With a cost of just about $13 per day (approximate price) for the Base Dining Plan for children ages 3 - 9, I would probably just add her onto your reservation.  This is less than the cost of one buffet at Chef Mickey's, and even if you just use it for her drinks and snack credits, you will still at least break even.

The other problem with leaving your princess off your reservation is that you will not have a transportation voucher for Disney's Magical Express (to and from the airport) or a Key to the World card for her which you will need if you plan to use Extra Magic Hours.

I think the Disney Dining Plan is an exceptional value for kids.   The price is very reasonable, and you will have her meals paid for - she might just work up quite the appetite after all the Disney fun and magic she is going to experience!   Good luck!
