We're going on our 1st DC 3 night cruise mid Sept. This is a prelude to determining future DC' s. So we booked Remy &Palo. Email said Remy 6-930pm. Is it really 3hrs? Palo is 2hrs? Will we miss the shows?

Welcome aboard, Lee! Your first experience with Disney Cruise Line will be a really special one!

I'm glad you've booked meals at Palo and Remy. Both brunch and dinner at these spots are fabulous! Brunch won't be quite as long, but I'd plan two hours at Palo, just to be sure. At Remy, there are many more courses, which adds to the fantastic experience, so planning two to three hours is a good idea. My husband and I have truly enjoyed our dinners at Remy, but we did spend almost three hours there. That was perfectly fine for us, as we were relaxing and loving course after course. Now, if your reservations won't allow you to see the early show at 6:15 before you dine, you will miss both shows.

Since this is your very first experience with Disney Cruise Line, I would actually suggest that you book just brunch at Palo and plan to attend the regular dining rotation and the evening shows. You won't want to miss any of the three main dining restaurants in your rotation - especially the show at Animator's Palate! And the shows onboard are simply spectacular Broadway-style entertainment that you absolutely must see! While Remy and Palo's dinners are so amazing, I would not suggest you miss out on the true Disney Cruise Line experience of the rotational dining and evening shows since you're on just a short three-night sailing. Perhaps save those two spots for dinners when you re-book for your next Disney cruise? But, if you can snag brunch reservations at Palo, go for it! You won't miss your dining rotation or a show, but you'll still get the great Palo experience. My husband and I much prefer brunch at Palo to dinner, actually!

    Happy planning, Lee!
