Hi Moms!!! 13 Days until we are in WDW!!! We will be staying at CBR but would like to enjoy pony rides and other things at Fort Wilderness. Will we be able to park there and where is the best place to park? You guys have made planning so much easier! Thx!

    Hi Cierra,

I am so glad that you are finding the Disney Parks Moms Panel to be helpful.  My family and I recently returned from a trip where we took advantage of many of the recreation options at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  It's such a great resort with so much to do!

You should be able to park at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  When you arrive at the security gate, it's a good idea to keep your parking permit from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort on display on your dashboard.  Tell the cast member at the security gate that you are coming to enjoy some of the recreation at Disney's Fort Wilderness.  The cast member should direct you to park in the main parking lot which is right up in the front of the resort.  This is near to the bus stop for the internal bus system at Disney's Fort Wilderness.  Because the resort is so big, you will need to use the internal bus system to get around. The horseback riding check in is right up front at the resort, so you would just walk to that.  If you are interested in the pony rides for younger children, as well as carriage rides and hay wagon rides, you would need to take the internal bus to the Settlement Depot.  The internal bus is really well marked, and the bus drivers can help you to determine which bus you need.  When you return to your car, you will take any bus heading to the Outpost Depot, which is where you will have parked.

Have a wonderful time exploring Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, Cierra.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
