Hi, how many days is typically suggested for Magic Kingdom? It will be our kids first time and we haven't been since we were teens. Is days enough or 3?

    Hi Nora,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are in the midst of planning a magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. Thank you for dropping in and asking this question!

My family always does at least two days in Magic Kingdom. It takes us that many days to ride all of our favorite attractions. Doing two days also allows us to use Fast Pass+ selections for six of our must-do rides. Some of our must-do rides are Tomorrowland Speedway, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

On at least one evening, you also must see the Happily Ever After fireworks show. On our last visit, we watched it from California Grill, 'Ohana and in the park. We got to the park just as the last Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party was ending. I was able to get a spot right in front of Cinderella Castle. While I waited, I sent the girls to ride a ride. By the time they returned, we had about another hour to wait but it was so worth it! Our spot was perfect - front row just in front of one of the pathways leading to the castle.

On our last visit, we also did the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package with Tony's Town Square Restaurant. Lunch was fantastic and we had a great VIP viewing area on Main Street, U.S.A. Several of the characters waved at our girls. It was so much fun despite the intense July heat!

Nora, I definitely think you need two days to experience Magic Kingdom. If you have time, also visit Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. Be sure to join Alpha Centauri Expeditions and take a ride on Avatar Flight of Passage. It is AMAZING!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
