    Christa from WA Asked

How many days should we spend in the parks and be able to do everything (most rides, some table service restaurants, characters), including all the special Christmas activities? We will be there the week before Thanksgiving so it shouldn't be too busy

Hi, Christa! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

I am so excited that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort during the Holiday season. The parks are magical all year long, but the Holidays bring extra sparkle and joy that simply can't be topped! I think that you really need at least three days in the parks to experience most of the things on your "must-do" list. When I visit, I plan for four or five days to account for travel, pool time, and a little flexibility in case things don't go exactly as planned. During the Holidays, you will want to plan time for A Christmas Fantasy Parade, Disney Festival of Holidays which includes oodles of scrumptious food booths at Disney California Adventure Park, and of course a visit with Santa! Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog in the coming months for when they release the official details of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.

If you want to maximize your time while meeting characters and enjoying a great meal, then you will definitely want to book the Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn. I was astonished at how many characters we met during this one meal. Plus, the buffet has just about everything you could ever want for breakfast. It was such a delightful experience that I suggest it whenever I can!

Finally, make sure to familiarize yourself with the Disneyland app. This will save you time as it tells you current attraction wait times, FASTPASS return times, where and when to meet your favorite characters, and so much more.

Have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
