We have 2 days reserved at stay at AK lodge we planned to arrive at park opening first day at AK and then go to the room when it is ready. Will we have to pay for parking at the park and also for both nights at the hotel?

    Hi Chelsea,

You are going to LOVE staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge! It's one of my very favorites! With gorgeous decor, incredible wildlife, inspiring art and music, and fun cultural events, you'll feel immersed in African culture and surrounded by Disney magic. I'd definitely encourage you to pick up a recreation calendar and enjoy as many of the wonderful activities as you can, plus you'll want to be sure to spend some time exploring the Resort hotel both inside and out. It really is spectacular!

I'm happy to let you know that Disney Resort hotel Guests receive complimentary parking at the theme parks. When you arrive at the gates, a Cast Member will simply scan your MagicBand to be able to see that you're a registered Guest of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. One suggestion for you to simplify everything is to complete online check-in before you arrive. It's easy peasy, and you won't even have to stop by the front desk at the Resort hotel! They can simply text or email you your room number when it's ready and you can go directly there whenever you'd like without needing to interrupt any fun. Oh, and as far as the Resort hotel parking charge, it will conveniently be added to your room bill for you, so no need to worry about that, either. With the convenient My Disney Experience mobile app, you can even view all of your room charges before you check out.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Chelsea, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your visit. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
