We have 3.5 days, 11/3 - 11/6, at Polynesian Villas, celebrating twin boys turning 7! Best way to break up days between Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom? Should we do one park per day, or skip one and spend more time in Magic Kingdom? Many TIA!

    Hello Britta!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I think there is no better place to celebrate a birthday than at the Walt Disney World Resort. Each of my boys has celebrated at least one of their birthdays in the parks. I treasure those birthdays, as we were able to spend the entire day as a family having fun, being silly, celebrating and creating unforgettable moments together.

I would consider purchasing Park Hopper Passes. The Park Hopper option allows you to visit more than one theme park on the same day. On a shorter trip such as yours, you’ll have a lot more flexibility. I would plan on spending at least one full day at the Magic Kingdom. Then I would recommend another full day at Epcot, simply because it is such a large park and there is so much to see. I asked my 8 year old son for his opinion on this, and he agrees that Epcot is the way to go! On your third day, you could spend the morning enjoying Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and then still spend another evening at Magic Kingdom.

The other nice thing about a Park Hopper Pass is that if after spending the first part of your day in a park, if you decide you’d like to explore somewhere else, return to visit something you missed or a nighttime parade or fireworks show in another park, you still have that option.

If a Park Hopper isn’t part of your plans, I would recommend two full days at Magic Kingdom, and one full day at Epcot. If you’ll be visiting a park on your half day I would explore Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This plan only works however, if your half day is in the morning. Perhaps it would be a good choice for your last morning before departure.

In the end, with a birthday at Walt Disney World, you’re sure to make magical memories no matter what! Have fun planning, and let me know if there are any additional questions I can help you with.

    Happy 7th Birthday Boys!
