I have 2 days planned for Magic Kingdom, a Sunday and Wednesday. Figuring Sunday will be busier with more guests, should I plan my MUST DO's for Wednesday, with potential for less lines? Visiting September 14-19.

    Hi Katie,

Thanks so much for bringing us another great question! It's such a privilege to get to be part of planning your magical vacation, and we're so glad to see you again!

There are so many things that go into crowd sizes: time of the year, holidays, park hours, Extra Magic Hours, special events, etc., that I don't think day of the week matters quite that much. Yes, there could be more locals there on a weekend day, but families who are traveling from afar could be arriving or departing over the weekend. Seeing that you're visiting during September, which is historically one of the slower months of the year, I don't anticipate a major change in attendance from Sunday to Wednesday. I'd actually suggest you maximize the use of the complimentary FastPass+ service and divide up your must-do attractions and experiences between the two days.

Here's what I'd do...I'd arrive at least 45 minutes before the theme park opens so that you have plenty of time to go through security and ticketing and can be among the first Guests into the theme park. You'll find the shortest wait times of the entire day first thing in the morning, and you won't even need the FastPass+ service yet. Then, I'd schedule your FastPass+ choices between mid-morning and early-afternoon. That way, you can be free to either head back to your Disney Resort hotel for a break for a bit or use the My Disney Experience mobile app or in-park kiosk to make additional FastPass+ selections, one at a time, pending availability. The FastPass+ service is excellent for some of the experiences that often have longer wait times like Peter Pan's Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and select character greeting opportunities. With two days at Magic Kingdom Park, you should be able to score some excellent FastPass+ selections, saving you lots of time in standby lines and freeing you up to enjoy even MORE magic and fun!

I hope this helps as you're planning your visit, Katie, and please feel free to keep your questions coming! I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
