We are 60 days from our Nov 2016 trip. Scheduled FP+ today and did not see FOF Parade listed on any day as an option. Do you know if the parade is still a FP attraction & if there is any issue with the Parade during our dates? Nov16-21

    Hi Gail,

I haven't seen any announcement of this, but I don't see  a FastPass+ option for Festival of Fantasy parade past the end of September. Not to worry, though: the parade remains on the daily schedule each afternoon.

I used a FastPass for Festival of Fantasy once during a busy day at Magic Kingdom, but I have found that it wasn't necessary most of the time. Even if it was available for the parade, I would save my FastPass+ choices for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan's Flight, Space Mountain or another attraction that usually has longer lines.

You are visiting during a week that generally has lower crowds, so I believe you should be able to find a great viewing spot without a lot of trouble.

Festival of Fantasy starts in Frontierland and moves through the hub in front of Cinderella Castle before heading down Main Street toward Town Square. It's usually less crowded to watch in Frontierland. One of the most popular vantage points is the Walt Disney World Railroad station at the end of Main Street USA, which gives you a great view of the floats with Cinderella Castle as a backdrop.

In Frontierland, you should be able to grab a prime spot just a few minutes before the parade's 3 p.m. start. If you want a more popular location along Main Street or at the train station, you should plan to stake out your position by 2:30 or so. It will take the parade 15 or 20 minutes to come into view there.

I like to grab a bucket of popcorn while we wait. Or treat yourself to a Mickey bar or ice cream cone to pass the time.

Thanks for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Enjoy the parade!
